Legoland Tips & Legoland Law Enforcement Discounts

I’m a huge Legoland fan after visiting in summer 2022 with my law enforcement husband and our boys ages 5 and 7. I’m so excited to bring you these tips for Legoland California. While we had a fun family trip to Disneyland , our 5-year old did not love Disneyland because a lot of the rides there scared him, but he just loved Legoland. It is truly designed for young children and that brought me joy. Did you know that adults cannot visit Legoland alone without children? This helps me to feel like it’s a bit safer than Disneyland and reiterates my idea that Legoland is truly designed for children. I hope these Legoland law enforcement discounts and Legoland tips specifically for law enforcement families helps you have such a good time!

Legoland Tips

Legoland Tip #1

We booked a 3-day ticket adventure to Legoland California so we could experience both the Legoland park and waterpark. We had to decide which park that we would visit each day, so we did the main park for the 1st and 3rd day and squeezed the waterpark on the 2nd day. This was actually perfect, because we were able to identify rides that we missed or wanted to try again in the main Legoland park for the 3rd day when we would return there.

Definitely visit the waterpark if it’s open. Just like the main park, it’s designed from young children and it was such a blast! They have fun water rides for kids and a lazy river for the whole family to enjoy.

Note that the Legoland waterpark’s entrance is in the back of the main Legoland park; it’s a long walk for children with little legs. We rented a double stroller at Legoland on the 1st and 3rd day for the main Legoland park in case our boys wanted to sit. Our 5-year old and even 7-year old used the stroller at times.

Purchase tickets to Legoland through Expedia, because they offer free cancellation. As a law enforcement family, it’s a reality that

Tips for Legoland California #2

We visited Legoland in August, which is when a lot of schools in the US are back in session. Legoland California felt quite empty, which was lovely. I felt like my law enforcement husband who is not a fan of crowds could relax.

Many of my fellow mom friends have stayed at the Legoland resort, which is walking distance from the park; no trolley needed like at Disneyland.

We stayed at a local short-term rental, because we had our family of four plus two sets of grandparents, and it was more affordable to stay in a large house together with 4-bedrooms. We also brought food to cook for breakfast and sometimes at dinner at home.

We drove and parked at Legoland each day. We arrived right at the park opened each day, and parking was smooth- not too crowded.

We enjoyed lunch at the park; there were a lot of food options. We never needed to order ahead and the wait was never too long.
