I share raw real stories that I do not see anywhere else. I do not hold much back. I am known for my police wife humor on Instagram @heelsandholster I integrate comedy throughout this book. My husband is a city police officer. He has worked in the city of Los Angeles in gang units and other specialized units for about 16 years. His distinct experiences and traumas as a Los Angeles police officer have shaped who we are a couple. I am a Catholic-convert raised by hippies on ranches in Hawaii and Las Vegas. My parents had a metal bat under their bed for home protection. I was raised very differently than my husband. As a police wife and mother to young children, I share my experiences juggling demands of my husband’s injury on duty, Covid-19 pandemic, and Black Lives Matter riots..
