Hi! I’m Kristen Linton, the creator of heelsandholster.

I have been a police wife for 10 years. I am also a working mom of two boys from Los Angeles. I was raised in Hilo, Hawaii and then Las Vegas on a small ranch by my hippie parents. I met my now police husband, Rick, in Las Vegas at age 17. I am a Catholic convert.

My mission is to empower police wives to from resentful, lonely & overwhelmed to peaceful, a sense of love and community, and organized.

I struggled with loneliness and resentment in the early years of my marriage. I found happiness through finding acceptance, self-care, independence, and planning for me. However, then 2020 hit and I felt alone as my husband worked the BLM riots in Los Angeles. I saw colleagues post “f*** the police” on social media. I unfriended many people during that year, but started posting funny reels on Instagram about police wife life to express myself in a positive way. I also have a YouTube channel where I post weekly videos.

I have been so blessed to meet so many fellow police wives in that way. I started this website as a way to reach more police wives who may need support like I did/do. Each police wife blog post aims to empower you on how to be a happy police wife.

I am blessed that many police wives and women dating a cop have found my heelsandholster: police wife devotional book and Boots by the Door children’s book helpful.
